As a HUGE thank you to our veterans this year we are offering a FREE entry into the Souther Six Category of the Outer Banks Marathon! This is the last six miles of the marathon that starts at 8:45 AM from the southern most entrance of the Tanger Outlet Mall in Nags Head, NC.

To be eligible for the FREE entry you MUST be a veteran and MUST show proof of veteran status at packet pick up to recieve race bib.

What constitutes "Veteran Status"?

A “veteran” is a person who. served in the active military, naval or air service, and. was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.

What is acceptable proof of Veteran's Status?

A DD Form 214 or the corrected DD Form 215 that show honorable discharge or a Driver's Licence with the word "Veteran" on the front and back or a State or County issues Veterans ID Card.
